Google is looking for one or more good cities as a partner to build and test ultra high-speed broadband networks. The City of Palo Alto applied to Google to be one of these cities and it needs your help.
We ask your formal support for the City’s application.
Your organization and your colleagues, friends, and neighbors will undoubtedly benefit from a Google state-of-the-art open fiber network. It promises to deliver rock-solid reliability, price competition, service choice, and speeds of over 1 gigabit per second.
If Palo Alto is selected, a Google public/private partnership is, in effect, willing to invest about $2,000 for every premise in our community. This could represent a $50 million investment in Palo Alto by Google.
To help bring Google Open Fiber to your organization and to every premise in town, the City of Palo Alto would like to publicly list your support as part of its application to Google.
